After number of attempts I finally got the world to save. The game error message is not accurate as computer has 32 GB memory which less than half were being used and there is plenty of hard drive space. Reviewing the logs, what I think was happening was some KEY value could not be found or written either for the base game or mod. After loading and unloading several mod MES, AiEnabled, Earthlike animal, etc the world was finally stable and would save when SE was repeatably started.
