Turrets ignore Recoil/BackkickForce
I'm surprised to see this wasn't reported earlier already (the tracker's Search function did not show any relevant results specifically featuring this issue).
Whilst working on a mod, I noticed that Turrets apply zero recoil to their grids, regardless of the <BackkickForce> value set in their associated Ammo definition.
This is also the case in Vanilla Space Engineers.
Recoil works fine for static weapons, but does not work for any Turrets.
Current Behaviour:
- Turrets do not apply recoil to their grid, even without thrusters/dampeners.
Expected Behaviour:
- Turrets should experience and apply recoil to their grid, as defined in the Ammo Definitions.
- Turret recoil should be based on the firing angle.
Steps to reproduce:
- Be in space/zero-gravity.
- Place a power source and Assault Cannon Turret, without any thrusters/gyroscopes.
- Ensure the grid is dynamic (= not a station).
- Fire the turret via control panel. Notice the lack of recoil.
The bug also occurs with other turrets, such as Artillery and Autocannon, and is independent of grid size.
People in some communities have suggested that this may be intentional, but it is very counterintuitive to what should be expected - seeing as <BackkickForce> is defined in the Ammo definition and not the guns themselves, and should thus apply to all weapons that use said Ammo.
It would be great to get some official clarifiaction on whether this is intentional or a bug.
Thank you!
