Jump Drives no longer share jump function

Edward Tuholske shared this bug 20 days ago
Need More Information

Previously I could have one jump drive on my toolbar (with an action of jump) and set the destination on it. I could make multiple jumps even when the jump drive (from the tool bar) was recharging. The system would select the next fully charged jump drive to make the jump.

The system no longer works this way, and I need to have all 8 of my jump drives on the toolbar in order to use them. I need to find which one is fully charged and use that for the next jump which takes a lot more time.

The best fix for this is to have the jump drive group have a jump option when adding to the toolbar (Which they currently don't). If you can't do that, please set it back to the previous way.

Hello Edward,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

To help us investigate further, could you please confirm whether the issue occurred in a modded world (with active MODs) or in an unmodded (vanilla) one?

If MODs were active, we recommend pasting the blueprint of the affected grid into a new vanilla world to check whether the issue still occurs.

If the issue does not appear in a vanilla world, it's likely that one or more MODs are causing the issue.

However, if the issue persists even in a vanilla world, please send us a screen recording/video showing the issue in the vanilla world.

Additionally, we’d like to know how the blueprint behaves in a previous version of the game. To do this;

  1. Exit the game and go to your Steam Library.
  2. Right-click on Space EngineersPropertiesBetas tab.
  3. Under Beta Participation, select the previous version of the game (the version where the issue did not occur).
  4. Wait for the game to update, then launch it.
  5. Start a new vanilla world and paste the affected blueprint.
  6. Record a video showing the blueprint functioning correctly in that version.

Please also send us the blueprint of the affected grid, along with both videos (one showing the issue on the current version, and one where it works in the previous version). This will allow us to investigate more thoroughly.

  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

This was on a Keen official server - US #2.

So it was a vanilla world with no MODS.

I will verify that it is still happening and make a video

Hello Edward,

Thanks a lot for your quick response and for confirming that it was a vanilla world with no MODs.

We're looking forward to the video and any additional info you can share. It’ll really help us get a better idea of what’s going on and investigate the issue further.

Kind Regards,

Ludmila Danilchenko
