Need More Information

  1. i host unmodded red ship v2 on lowest settings->they join and get stuck on menu->they alt f4 and get asteroid body->they f5 and it works, and its the same for me joining them even after adding mods to that world. if we add mods on the blank world its the same, but if we do unmodded solar system or anything else modded it gets stuck loading at 100% we both have good internet and running it at lowest settings possible.

Hello Jerey,

Thank you for reaching out on the forum, and sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

From the details you shared and your logs, it looks like you're joining a lobby (peer-to-peer session), in peer-to-peer sessions, the host’s machine handles world streaming and synchronization, which can sometimes cause the game to get stuck at 100% loading or result in spawning as an "asteroid body" if the handshake fails.

We recommend trying the following steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

  • Verify game files on Steam:
    - Right-click on Space Engineers in your Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files.
  • Clear cached configurations:
    - Delete the SpaceEngineers.cfg file (found in AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers folder). It means your game configuration/settings will be deleted. This can be re-configured in the game settings.
    - Clear contents of the ShaderCache folder in the same directory.
  • Test joining a purely vanilla world:
    - Host an Empty World with no MODs active.
    - Have the other player try joining this clean test session to check if the base connection and sync work properly.

If the issue still occurs after these steps, please send us updated logs from an attempt to join a completely vanilla world (no MODs active).

Kind Regards,
