Lost project
Hello.
My name is Janos, I really enjoying Space Engineers I have 4500hours!
But, I have a problem now.☹
I started a new game in 2021, and kept a break since 2023.
Now I would like to jump into again.
Unfortunately when I clicked on continue my all buildings, vehicles, everything gonna.
The game files was in the proper folder, but their sizes much smaller.
I remember they were something around 4GB, but now it's just couple of MB.
My system wasn't modified. At all.
The game was always on, and the window as well.
No one could has access to my pc.
I tried to verify the game files 3 times.
And the cloud was always on.
What could happen during these years?
I haven't run the game I just saw new DLC arrived and I happily added to my game.
Is it possible one of major update killed the game saves?
Thank in advance
Janos

Hello Janos,
Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. We can imagine how frustrating this must be, especially after investing so much time in the game.
Could you please confirm where your game files are currently stored? Are they located in the AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers folder, or somewhere else? To clarify, by default, in-game Cloud only syncs blueprints you’ve created, not your world save files. World saves are stored locally on your system in the folder mentioned above.
If the saves are in the correct folder, what do you see when you launch the game and go to the Load Game screen? Do any of your saved worlds appear?
Additionally, when you start a new game and press F10 after spawning, do you see any locally saved blueprints listed?
Also, do you own the game, or are you playing it through Steam Family Sharing?
Could you kindly send us a screen recording or screenshots showing the Load Game and Blueprint (F10) screen, along with your latest log files as well?
Kind Regards,
Keen Software House: QA Department

Hello.
Huh, so many questions, but I try to answer every single one, in the same order.
- Yes, I confirm my saving files are in the hudden user/appdata/roaming/space engineers folder.
- I didn't know that the steam saving the blueprint only.
- When I in the "Load Game" section I saw my World. However the file size after the date was very small.
Couple of MB.
My saving file size was between 4-5 GB.
I had 100 backups.
(Actually I build the accurate NASA Kennedy Space Center)
- I started a new game, but after I pressed the F10 no blueprint at all.
- Yes, I own the full game.
I bought from the Steam, when it was Beta, and I own with all the DLCs.
I don't know which log file do you need so I send them all.
The thing which I worry is not I list my map, (it is annoying) the thing is, what if after a time my new map will list too.
If is could happen, again.
I hope my help will figure out what happened.
Kind regards
Janos
