Rotor Max Torque Glitch
Investigating
Note: This is with "Unsafe Torques" enabled in world settings.
After the recent Fieldwork update increased the max Rotor torque power, rotors with high and max torque overwrite rotor lock. This allows the rotors to still be controlled and moved by things like the custom turret controller or certain scripts even when their rotor lock is on. If a rotor has been moved in this way away from the angle that it was rotor locked at, and then the rotor lock is turned off, then the rotor will then clang jolt, since it recognizes that it should have not moved from its locked position (but did). This bug does not apply to hinges, only rotors.
Hello Dakyn,
Thank you so much for reporting this and sorry for the delay in getting back to you!
I wanted to check in and ask: is this issue with rotors still happening on your end? Have you maybe found any workaround for it since then?
If it’s still reproducible for you, could you please share a blueprint or a world save that clearly shows the issue in action? That would help us tremendously in identifying the exact conditions.
Also, if you happen to have a short video, some pictures, or any other material that might help us better understand what you’re seeing, please do send it our way!
Looking forward to your reply and thanks again for your help in making the game better.
Kind Regards,
