Community content not showing in menu

Need More Information

I cannot see any community content scenarios that I have subscribed to. I get no error messages or loading symbols. I get no indication that I have done anything other than the little box by the scenario getting filled in. I have the game on steam and I have played the scenarios before but since the latest update to that menu, I have been unable to use it.

Can you help me figure out what is wrong with my menu? I have verified the files, uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted the config files, and even berated my computer. Nothing has worked. I was very hopeful with the last one.

Hello Margo,

Thank you for reaching out on the forum and for sharing the detailed information, as well as the steps you've already tried.

There are a few more things you can try that may help resolve the issue with Community Scenarios not appearing in your game.

First, please try running Steam as an administrator. To do this, close Steam completely, then right-click the Steam shortcut or executable file and select “Run as administrator.” After that, launch Space Engineers again and check if the scenarios are now visible.

It may also help to disable the Steam Overlay, in case it’s interfering. You can do this by opening Steam, going to Settings > In-Game, and unchecking “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.” Click OK and restart the game.

Next, please try unsubscribing and then resubscribing to the scenario on the Steam Workshop. Sometimes the download process does not complete correctly, and this can force the game to fetch a fresh copy. After resubscribing, wait for the content to finish downloading and then relaunch the game.

Lastly, please make sure your internet connection is stable. If the connection is slow or unstable, try switching to a more stable or wired connection as it may delay or prevent the workshop content from being fully downloaded in the background. After launching the game, wait a few minutes before checking the Community Scenarios list to give the game time to process any downloads.

If the issue continues after trying these steps, please send us a video/screen recording that shows what you’re experiencing, along with the game log file from the session when the issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,

Unfortunately, none of those things worked. This should be a video of what I am doing.
