Exhaust blocks - inconsistent behaviour
Need More Information
I have been making an underground base and have used many exhaust blocks for ambience. At first they appear to work, then when I move away to work on another area, and return to them later I find that some work, most look like they do nothing, some are visually strong and others hardly have a presence.
Is this a GPU problem or a block problem?
I have a Radeon RX580.
Hello Deon,
Thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.
To help us investigate further and determine whether this is an issue with the save or with the grid itself, could you please create a blueprint of one of the affected grids and try placing it in a new, empty world? If the issue still occurs, please share the blueprint file with us. If the issue only appears in your current save, then please send us the save file instead.
For save:
You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
For blueprint:
You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.
Also, are there any active mods in the world, or modded blocks used on the grid? If so, could you try to reproduce the issue in a vanilla world (with no mods) and let us know if it still happens?
It would also be very helpful if you could send us a video showing the issue occurring, or at least a description of reliable steps to reproduce it so we can try to replicate it on our side.
Looking forward to your response. Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
