Voxel Hand difficulties

Investigating

Hello,

I am trying to make a cave for an underground bunker, per the competition going on right now. But as a first-time user of voxel hands, I'm having a great deal of trouble. Wondering if I'm doing things wrong, or if the tool just isn't very well-developed.

For starters, the ground-leveling tool acts very strangely. Trying to pan the camera or move your avatar sideways causes the tool to dig down into the ground, leaving a set of stair-like voxels behind. I haven't been able to find a way to get around that, so have to make do with the cube tool, instead.

I'm also having trouble with lining things up. Even after disabling the voxel snapping to allow more rotational freedom, I cannot seem to get the voxel tools and my blocks to line up. They are always at a slight angle to one another. This is incredibly frustrating because it prevents me from building blocks along a wall properly. Is there some magical way to fine-tune the rotation of either blocks or voxel hands further? Or a way to snap one to the other? I've tried all snapping options for both hands and blocks, but none seem to be doing the trick.

Thanks for your help!
