Texture offset wrong

Not a Bug

Dear Developers,

The texture "Hazard Armor" is not corresponding properly to its neighbour. Many Drawing Programs have a texture alignment setting tool, for adjusting the texture offset, so each object's texture fits well to each other. Cann you add it to the "P"(aint) control dialogue?

A manual offset control would be easier to program than an offset detection to let the textures fit better, but I also recommend an auto-alignment backend for Space Engineers 2.

I'll add an example from CorelDRAW.

Anyway, I would like to know if your boss is respecting other people's intellectual property. Space Engineers is using a protected element that I invented and developed on my own and registered it as protected trademark. Can he please report to me? Thanks.

Best regards,

Holger

Dear Holger,

Thank you for your message and for taking the time to share your observations and suggestions.

Regarding the Hazard Armor texture, it was intentionally designed to appear consistent and visually cohesive, specifically on armor blocks, which are the most common use case in-game. While we understand that the alignment may not look ideal on certain neighboring blocks like armor panels, adjusting the texture globally could unintentionally affect how it appears across many other block types. This makes it a bit more complex than it might seem at first glance.
