Need More Information

Hi Keen,

I just loaded a world just fine, then after exiting (without saving) and entering again it suddenly says it crashed due to an error occurring. In fact this error starts happening even when I create a new world, and I didn't change the game files at all. This happened on Space Engineers 1 on the most recent patch. Yesterday I was able to play fine with no issues, reloading worlds several times without error at all. Nothing changed since then, even the mods. I was even able to load the world today and then after exiting and not changing anything, it wouldn't let me load or start new saves again. After restarting the game everything loads fine again.

Kind regards,

Gaz

Hello Gaz,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

After reviewing your log files, we noticed that your game is using certain launch options, most notably one that attempts to load a deprecated PluginLoader at startup. Please note that this PluginLoader is no longer supported and can cause issues such as startup crashes or errors if it remains referenced in the game's launch options.

To begin with, please remove all launch options from the game by right-clicking on Space Engineers in your Steam Library, selecting the General tab, and clearing any entries in the Launch Options field, especially the one related to the PluginLoader. After doing this, try launching the game and create a new, unmodded (vanilla) world to check if the issue persists.

If the issue does not occur in the vanilla world, it is likely caused by the PluginLoader and the MOD you were using in the original session. According to your logs, there are multiple entries indicating MOD_ERROR related to the "Riftspace Server" mod, which could also be contributing to the issue. Please note that we do not provide support for MODs, and we strongly advise against using Plugins, as they can negatively affect game stability and potentially harm your system. MOD compatibility and maintenance are the responsibility of their respective creators.

However, if the issue still occurs even in the vanilla world, please send us the latest log file.

Kind Regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department
