I dont know how, but GPS markers on official keen servers randomly deleting.

It was start fater last update (28.04.2025).

To the OP. Don't post two separate bugs in one post. It'll just get lost or ignored.

As far as disappearing GPS, it seems to happen on log-off. Both logging off when the character is out in the open as saved inside of a cryochamber.

Funny thing: I think I have seen two of my GPS markers flashing once when I looked in the direction of them. The color was wrong, it was an orange and not the default blue that these two positions had.

So the data might still be there, only in the wrong data structure?

And the next, not so funny thing: Just logging in again, and the two or three GPS markers I made yesterday, are also gone.

As this is the main data needed to get around in space, the game gets unplayable with this bug.

Harald, u can copy your GPS into infopad (finally usefull item :D) for saving your GPS

or use txt file..

I hope developers fix that ASAP

Thanks for that hint, but I'm playing under Linux and there you can only copy into the clipboard from SE exactly one time. Pasting is always possible.


I'm not reporting this bug, for it is a Linux only problem and Linux is not supported.

In most cases this is no problem, but when exchanging GPS coordinates, it is a little bit annoying.

Hello Engineers,

While we unfortunately can't restore the GPS markers that were lost, we released a hotfix on Friday that includes a change intended to prevent this issue from happening again.

If you notice any new problems with this feature, please submit a new report.
