Switching toolbars via CTRL+[number] also activates the [number] slot on the old toolbar

Pretty simple: If you switch toolbars via CTRL+[number] shortcut (both for normal numbers and numpad ones), the game also activates the corresponding slot on the switched-from toolbar.

Example:

I'm on toolbar 1 and want to switch to toolbar 2. When I press CTRL+2, the game does indeed switch to toolbar 2, but also activates/selects whatever is on slot 2 of toolbar 1. Annoying while building and borderline dangerous while piloting.

If I guessed it would have something to do with the additional keyboard shortcut customization options, but what do I know xD

Thanks a bunch (and awesome update btw, love it!)

its shocking to think its 2025 and the player cant even configure their own keybinds how to play the game and HAS to use HARDCODED in game keys at all.

Will you stop whining on every damn post on here? We all know the game isn't perfect, but we love it nonetheless and the devs try their best! Nobody owes you anything in terms of gameplay functions, and whining about it on a bug report forum (?) will change absolutely nothing.

My bugreport was merged here but seems the post itself is gone completely, it wasn't copied here but Patrick's comment was.

Said bugreport:

I have shift+WASDQE as secondary binds for rotating block.

When first loading any world I cannot sprint in character or spectator camera, it stops my movement entirely.

If I then equip any block then unequip it, I can sprint again.
I don't really see how they're the same thing, mine's on cubebuilder and this is on toolbar, mine's about wrongly blocking other controls, this one is about wrongly allowing them. But anyway, merging seems bad if it erases the post contents like that.

I use ALT+WASD for block rotation and have the same problem. Cannot use ALT to look around while jetpacking, driving, or flying. *Until* I equip a block and rotate it. Then I can unequip and ALT+WASDQE will work again to allow me to look around while operating a jetpack, rover, and aircraft.

Another issue with rotation inputs is when you paste a grid it keeps them enabled so shift+movement no longer works and requires me to equip and unequip a block again.
