Fieldwork Update Bug: Credits in Large Grid Inventory Disappearing

Won't Fix

Started a new Never Surrender run with this new update. All Vanilla so far. I have obtained credits from 3 of 5 drops. Each time I go to place the credits in a large inventory, all previous credits were gone. Solo player.


Don't know what files you might need.

Minor Update: I was wrong about mods - I have Hydrogen Rebalanced and Ore Detector+ installed at the time of the bug. Removing them now. I doubt the mods were the issue, but will update if the issue goes away with the mods.

Issue persists after removing those two mods. Will start a fresh game in the morning and see if it happens when no mods were ever installed.

We have tried to replicate the issue on our end but were unable to reproduce it. Could you please provide more information about the issue you are experiencing? Also, we recommend that you try the following steps, which may help resolve the issue;

Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files (wait till all files are verified successfully)

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Once done, launch the game and start a new vanilla (unmodded) world. Check if the issue persists. If the issue does not occur in the new vanilla world, but appears in your previous modded world, it is possible that MOD dependencies remained in the world save is causing the issue, even if you have already removed the MODs. Please note that we do not provide support for MODs, as it is the responsibility of the MOD creators to keep their MODs updated and compatible with the game's latest version.

However, if the issue continues to occur in a vanilla world, please send us screenshots or a video showing the issue, the vanilla world save files, any specific steps that seem to trigger the issue, and the log files from the time when the issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
