Vanishing ore deposit
Need More Information
The platinum ore signal vanished as I got close using the drill right mouse. When the ore signal got to 5 m I changed to drill action to the left mouse button. Now the signal is entirely gone without mining any of the ore.
Unfortunately it took 12 hours of asteroid hunting to find that single platinum deposit. Not doing it again if this is what happens.

Update.
I was eventually able to find platinum ore deposit on the same asteroid but it was now a surface deposit on the other side! Unsure what happened to the first deposit but I am happy now to carry on with the game progression of thrusters and ship range.

Are you able to reproduce this problem at will, after following some steps to reproduce? Or it was more of a one time thing and you do not have any additional information regarding the initial problem?
