Joining Official servers crash om MOTD

Won't Fix

I have had a look through the forums a couple of times now trying to find answers, although it would seem that there is not really any technical help here, rather just "reset/reinstall/update". Which gets really tiresom to read instead of actually providing usefull information to actually figure out what is happening rather than just "go default".

So this has been an issue for ages it seems, and there are multiple posts about the crash to desktop, even actually identical issue that happen when trying to OK the motd.

Calling this solved: Are you supporters payed pr solved case? Cause it sure smells like it.

Now what I would really like is an option for launching the game that introduces more logging/debug mode. Cause there is not event in any of the current logs that explains the crash. To me it seems like really bad exception handling is in place, cause there doesnt even pop an error message nor expcetion handling window, the process just exits with no explaination given.

And before you give the the set everything to default crap, then this is a freshly installed space engineers with no mods or workshop items. Yet this seems to have been a issue for years.

Hope these things are addressed in vrage3 else I would need a refund

Hello Andri,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum. We’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing and understand the frustration it may have caused.

To help us identify the cause and provide a solution, we kindly ask you to send us the crash log file from the time the issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
