Simulation Speed issues even with fresh save and no mods

Won't Fix

Hello,

I am having issues with my simulation speed. I've tried verifying gamefiles, deleting shadercache, and even a full reinstall.

I get constant drops to 0.2-0.5 sim speed. it's just my client sim speed, unless i host and play then it's both.

Did not include save file as even a fresh save does this..

PC Specs: r9 5950x, rtx 4080, 64gb ddr4.

I am running the game on medium settings (i should be able to run ultra) and still have nothing but issues.

Please let me know if there's anything else i can do to get this game playable..

PS: My friend with half the pc i have has 0 issues connecting and playing on my dedicated server, no sim speed issues. It's definitely limited to my game client.

Hello engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum. We’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing.

Could you please provide more details about the issue? Did you start experiencing the low Simulation Speed issue recently, or has it been present from the beginning?

Have you tried playing on other servers to see if the Simulation Speed issue occurs there as well?

Does the issue persist when playing in Single Player mode?

If the issue only occurs on multiplayer servers, please check if you have a VPN active? VPNs can cause latency issues that might affect Simulation Speed. If you’re using a VPN, please disable it and try playing on one of Keen’s official servers (preferably one closer to your geographical location).

If the issue occurs in Single Player mode as well, please verify that no Plugins are active in the game.

If the issue persists in either Single Player or multiplayer server, please send us the log file from the time the issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,
