Space Whale shared this bug 42 days ago
Duplicate

Hello. I have problems uploading to the steam workshop, Whenever i press control+B to upload. It just opens the Blueprint menu. So i am forced to save grids locally. I have also looked for any similar posts but the one i found was closed again, I have encountered this issue before and sometime it randomly dissapeared. But i'm looking for a better solution. I also have reinstalled Space Engineers and verified integrity of files.

Hello engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

Could you please provide more details about the issue you're experiencing? Are you unable to find your blueprint in the Blueprints screen (F10), or are you encountering issues when uploading/publishing to Steam?

If the issue is related to uploading/publishing to Steam, please first ensure you are connected to the internet and that Steam is not in Offline mode. If it is, make sure your internet connection is stable and set Steam to Online mode.

If the issue involves not finding your blueprint in the Blueprint screen (F10), this could be due to the Cloud feature being enabled in your game. When the Cloud storage is full, any new blueprints you try to save will not be stored.

To resolve this, navigate to Options > Game, locate the Enable Cloud option, and uncheck it. Save the settings, return to your world, and create a new blueprint. The new blueprint should now appear in the Blueprint menu. Once you locate your blueprint, select it, click Publish button (on the right-hand side section of the screen), choose the appropriate tags and destination (ie. Steam), and wait for the upload to complete. If Steam Overlay is enabled, it will open automatically, allowing you to further manage your workshop item on Steam.

If this doesn't resolve the issue or if the issue is different, please share additional details. A screen recording/video showing the issue would also be very helpful.

You can learn more about using the workshop in Space Engineers, here.

Hello there! It is in general saving to the cloud. But i still have well over 75% storage left. I even deleted a blueprint. Which did not help. I have also turned off the cloud and turned it back on. Steam is in online mode. The issue is with trying to upload it. Or save it in the cloud in general. control+B for saving blueprints does work perfectly on local mode but not with cloud enabled.

I hope this information helps you!

Hello engineer,

Thank you for sharing additional information.

We recommend keeping the Cloud enabled via Steam > Settings > Cloud, as turning it off could affect other games in your Steam Library. Instead, to disable Cloud specifically for Space Engineers, go to the game’s main menu, navigate to Options > Game, find the “Enable Cloud” option, and uncheck/disable it. Be sure to save the settings afterward. This will turn off the Cloud for Space Engineers only.

Additionally, we’re aware of an issue where players are unable to save blueprints to the Cloud despite having available storage space. We are currently investigating this issue internally on the following thread:

https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/44721

However, if you prefer not to save blueprints locally, you can publish your blueprints from the Cloud to Mod.io or the Steam Workshop. After publishing, you can delete them from the Cloud to free up space for new uploads. To do this;

  • First enable the Cloud from the game’s settings.
  • If your new blueprint is large, you may need to delete additional saved blueprints on the Cloud to make storage.
  • When publishing to Mod.io or the Steam Workshop, you can set the blueprints to private, ensuring only you can access them.

For detailed instructions, please refer to the “How to Share Blueprints” section on this page.

We will provide updates on the thread shared above as soon as we have more information from our internal testing. Please follow that thread for any new updates, comments, or potential fixes.

Since we are already aware of this issue, we will be closing this thread as a duplicate for now.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind Regards,
