Distance To Locked Target

Not a Bug

When using an Event controller set to "Distance to locked target" with the Offensive AI block, I expected the EC's false condition to be used when the AI's behavior is turned off, but what I see is that the EC "remembers" the last value that the AI input.

For example,

EC set to: Condition Distance to locked target <= 2500m (Detection range of Combat AI)

(expected behavior)

However, if you toggle the AI behavior while already locked onto something (say to order the drone to retreat from combat), the event controller's input does not change. As far as the EC is concerned, the target is still locked on.

In this image, the AI Offensive block's behavior has been disabled.

(edit: I tested further, and after disabling both Combat and Move AI, I manually piloted the ship out of range of the target, and the EC state did not change)

This may be a bug but I'm not 100% sure, so I apologize if this behavior is intended.

Thanks!

Hello, Engineer!

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

We can confirm that at the moment this is behavior as intended. Event Controller detects changes between states and as long as AI block is disabled, no state changes are detected. If you'd like to see this changed, we recommend creating a Feedback ticket instead and gathering enough votes.

Kind Regards
