world is broken after pc crashed

Won't Fix

ive taken the required steps to attempt to repair the world even downloading setoolbox, to no end i havent been able to repair the world. this is the 4th time ive lost a world which had too many hours to lose again. i am seeking help to repair the world

Thanks for reaching out to our forum. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been experiencing.

SEToolBox might help you recover your progress by importing grids from your affected world. You can create blueprints of the grids and paste them into a new world to restore your work.

It’s also possible that world corruption only affects the most recent save file. We recommend checking the backups for your world and trying to load an older backup, as it might still work without any issues.

If you’re using MODs in the affected world, they might be causing the issue. You can check this by removing all MODs through Load Game → Edit Settings → Mods and see if that resolves the game/PC crashes or world corruption.

i've already deleted the world, recovery isnt possble, i was able to recover the blueprints. however due to personal feelings it feels wrong to create another world and paste blueprints in. durning the pc crash all backs up( 5 ) was not recoverable, the first time i lost my save was an error durning the world saving process/player joining.

(i can recreate the problem and send it over for bug fixing)

We understand how frustrating this situation must be. Unfortunately, since the backups are also corrupted, there's no other option to recover the world save.

As you mentioned that this issue can be reproduced, could you please confirm whether it occurs in a vanilla (unmodded) world or a modded world (with active MODs or Plugins)? If it is modded or if you have plugins active, these could be potential causes of the world save corruption or game crashes. We recommend removing any plugin from the game and starting a new vanilla (unmodded) world to see if the issue persists.

If the issue still occurs in a vanilla world, please share with us the steps to reproduce the issue, the affected vanilla world save and the crash log or game log from the time the issue occurred.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
