SPRT is missing
Need More Information
Since the contact update the Space Pirate Faction has not spawned anything in any world regardless of mods or in vanilla. I do miss raiding their cargo ships. If this was intended can you please state that. If it wasn't intentional can you fix it or at least make an option to switch between SPRT and Factorem.

Thank you for reaching out to us. The encounters were updated and cargo ships might be harder to get by, but they should still spawn. Could you please provide some additional information for us?
Have you encountered other cargo ships but not the SPRT encounters? SPRT faction should also have planetary encounters that should be spawning as well. Have you not met any SPRT at all?
Is this happening on a single player game or on a server? Are you using any mods? Some mods might cause issue with spawning of encounters as the feature was changed in the latest game update.
Here are some general troubleshooting steps for addressing issues with encounters that may prevent them from appearing, that might help or are worth to consider:
- Reduce the number of NPC factions – This will generate fewer Economy stations and help reduce the minimum distance required from other static grids. Note that this requires creating a new world.
- Disable mods – Some mods may cause issues with encounters. Try disabling all mods and playing on a vanilla world to rule out any conflicts.
- Ensure sufficient PCU for NPCs – If you don’t have Planetary or Global Encounters, there may not be enough available PCU for them to spawn. Follow these tips to ensure sufficient PCU (for server admins):

So I don’t play on dedicated servers and I haven’t used mods since the Contact update. Me and my friends do host friends only worlds and even they haven’t seen SPRT spawn at all with the only exception of the maydays. Also I did mess the world settings when making a new world and it didn’t effect the spawns at all and I haven’t seen any planetary SPRT encounters. The only non mayday spawnI had seen with the SPRT faction was an economy station and that was a couple days after update and since that day even economy stations are having trouble appearing in the world. The most telling thing that something happened to SPRT is yesterday in my friends world where I had admin privileges I spawned in a R.U.S.T. Freighter I had gotten in creative mode before the contact update and set in the admin menu to spawn with original ownership and it spawned under the spider faction. In terms of non SPRT encounters they are very low even Factorem spawned off and other changes to help boost the spawn of SPRT. I had the other day went to other side of the moon I saw one cargo ship, one planetary installation, and one trade station.
