Can't edit Safe Zone even though it's shared with Faction

Reported

Basically as the title says. I am in the faction but when I click to add drilling or welding, nothing happens. You may or may not be able to duplicate this but I loaded a video that shows this is in fact a bug in case there were any doubts. It's been a problem for a long time, I hope this gets looked into soon.

I had that too, i think it has to do with safezone having a DLC skin, which you do not own.

Hello engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

It seems this is a known issue for which we already have an internal ticket, and also as mentioned by another player, Error 404, this issue could occur if a DLC skin or Safe Zone texture other than "Default" is being used. The Safe Zone DLC skins were introduced in the Economy Update, so the players who own the Economy DLC can edit or change Safe Zone settings on the block which has non-default skins or zone textures. However, players without the DLC are unable to perform these actions.

To help confirm this, could you let us know if you own the Economy DLC and whether the Safe Zone block in question is using a zone texture or skin other than "Default," which might be preventing you from editing its settings?

If this matches the issue, we will link this thread to our internal ticket. If not, please provide more details about this issue, for example, was the world/server where this issue occurred modded? Did you experience this issue recently after the latest game update? Was this Safe Zone setting functioning correctly for you before?

Kind Regards,

The Safezone Texture used is "Voronoi" from the Economy DLC. We are not using the default texture. I am not able to edit settings.

Note: I just asked a friend in my faction to change the texture to default and now I am able to edit the settings. This is a major issue for team mates needing to edit settings but dont have deep pockets.

If access limitations are to be designed in the game, please let it be VIA rank or just straight whitelist for accesses to cargos, safezones, ect.

Hello engineer,

Thank you for sharing the update.

We’re glad to hear that changing the Safe Zone texture to 'Default' has allowed you to access and change its settings. As mentioned in our previous response, we have an internal ticket addressing an issue where players without the Economy DLC cannot access or modify Safe Zone settings if the texture is set to anything other than 'Default.'

For now, we’ve linked this thread to our internal ticket. As a workaround, we recommend keeping the Safe Zone texture set to 'Default' to ensure other whitelisted players (who don’t own the Economy DLC) can also access and adjust the Safe Zone settings.

We’ll update this ticket with the fix version once the issue is resolved.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Kind Regards,
