Won't Fix

This happens every time i try loading into my friends server or any other server.


I have looked around at anything similar on reddit or steam discussions and tried all the *fixes* nothing has worked. I have asked out on discord and nothing has helped my case i have spent 3 hours in the game ever and they have been trying to fix this. Some help would be greatly appreciated, I just want to play and have a good time !


After testing ive found that enabling block limits on my friends server allowed me to join but we want to play w/o limits so any help would be amazing please !

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

Could you please provide more details about the issue you're experiencing? For instance, were your friend's server or the other servers where you encountered this issue modded (have active MODs)? If they were, could you check if the issue persists when playing on Keen's official servers (which are not modded/have no active MODs)?

Although you mentioned trying several workarounds, we kindly request that you try the following steps again (even if you have already);

Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Once you’ve completed these steps, please join one of our official servers first. If the issue does not occur there, try joining your friend's server again.

If your friend’s server is modded and the issue persists there but not on our official servers, it’s likely that the issue is related to the MODs being used. However, if the issue persists even on our official servers, we would appreciate it if you could provide a screen recording/video showing the issue on our server. Additionally, please include the log file from the session when the issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
