SOL gps marker not being Created

I came across a data pad in a planetary encounter, it has the option to create a gps marker with it. I clicked that and it didnt show up. I went into the gps menu and tried to see if there were any new marks that were set to not show on hud, but there were none.

As you may have noticed, Datapads found in planetary encounters do not contain GPS text or information like those in other Datapads. This is why no GPS marker is created when using the 'Create GPS Marker' button. We acknowledge that this can be confusing for players, and to address this, we have logged the issue in our internal system.
We will update the status of this thread once the issue has been resolved.
