[1.205.026] Dedicated server failing to download mods

Need More Information

After uninstalling the dedicated server and reinstalling on a different drive, and copying the world save folder to the new server, the server fails to start because the mod download from the Steam workshop times out with the error `Workshop item with id 2267007067 download finished. Result: k_EResultTimeout`. This happens with any mod from the workshop I try to use. Full log:

Could you please let us know if you're still encountering the issue, or has it been resolved for you? If the issue persists, please try the following steps, which may help:

1. Verify Mod Subscription

  • Ensure the Steam account used to subscribe to the MOD(s) is active and not switched to another account.
  • Double-check that the MOD(s) are still subscribed by visiting their Workshop page (e.g., mod ID 2267007067) and confirming the subscription is active.

2. Clear Workshop Cache

  • Stop the dedicated server.
  • Navigate to the following folder:
    \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850
  • Delete the folder for the problematic mod (2267007067) or clear all mod folders to start fresh.
  • Restart the server to trigger a fresh download of the mods.

3. Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings

  • Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus to see if they are blocking connections to the Steam Workshop.
  • Ensure SpaceEngineersDedicated.exe and related processes are allowed through the firewall.
  • Confirm that ports used by the server (default: 27016) are open.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please send us the latest complete server log file.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated.

I switched to using the Torch dedicated server tool and didn't have this problem running the server there, so I guess it's kind of resolved? I can try clearing the cache and sending a complete log later today in case other people are running into the same problem. Thank you!
