Issue with vscny and simspeed

Need More Information

My game sometimes fluctuates to 61 UPS instead of 60 and to a simspeed of 1.02 instead of 1.00. This causes screen tearing with vsync disabled and fps capped at 60 or lag if vsync is enabled because even with vsync enabled the game has sometimes 61fps and ups. Is there a way to hard limit the simspeed tp 1.00?

Hello Sapphira,

Thank you for reaching out on our forum. We’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing.

From the log provided, we noticed that you were playing in both a modded multiplayer lobby and a vanilla single-player world. Could you please confirm when the issue occurred? Was it during your time in the modded lobby or in the single-player world?

Regarding the simulation speed, it’s important to note that a hard limit on simspeed isn’t possible, as it dynamically adjusts based on the server load and computational demands. However, you can try disabling V-Sync and capping your FPS through your graphics card settings. To ensure optimal performance, set the FPS cap slightly below your monitor's refresh rate (e.g., 58 or 59 FPS for a 60Hz monitor) to prevent overshooting.

If the issue occurred in the modded multiplayer lobby, we recommend reducing the number of MODs in use or avoiding MODs that significantly alter simulation processes, as they could contribute to the issue.

Kind Regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department

The issue occured during both single player and multiplayer, both modded and unmodded. Also i was able to reproduce the same issue on two different computers, so it seems to be universal for me somehow. I may be able to try to record the issue on video once i find the time

The issue is modded and unmodded, as well as in multiplayer and singleplayer. The world i play in does not seem to matter either. Seems like some issue in the basegame. Usually a lagspike stops when reloading the graphics settings, like disabling and re enabling vsync. Should i try to record the issue? Edit: I seem to have commented twice, as the previous answer i wrote did not show up so i thought it got autodeleted

Dear Keen Swh Agent 2.

I did record the lagspikes. As you can clearly see, the framerate seems to be stable. Still the game seems to stutter intensly for no appearant reason. Sadly a longer recording would be bigger than the upload limit of 60mb
