Prototech thruster particle graphical error

Hello. Your prototech thruster's main flame particle has some noticeable issues. Firstly, the texture does not have enough blank alpha space at the top of the image resulting in this hard edge being quite visible.

Secondly, because this particle scales itself up and down to animate and the embers are part of the same image, the effect is that the same few embers are constantly being sucked in and out of the engine. It would be much better to separate the embers from the flame particle and add them as a secondary emitter. Look closely at them in the included video. Thanks for the consideration.

I do this out of love for the game and not at all to bash the artist. I want Keen and this game to succeed. You guys could perhaps use a particle snob on your team. As another example your smoke systems in particular are not efficient. One could easily for instance make an emitter produce 100 smoke particles per second with a 5 second lifespan but that would mean 500 transparent textures on top of eachother at any given moment. A performance murder if it were in the viewport's focus.

But I digress because this post is about the prototech thruster particle. I hope you consider what I've had to say.

The sound is EXTRA annoying too, and very loud. That clapping part is completely useless, also it changes the sounds of other thrusters. And you even get it in directions that have no thrusters which is also impossible to understand why.

Give a seperate slider of thrusters and other meaningless ambient sounds, as i have suggested before. So i dont have to turn down the entire game's volume to avoid this earrape.

Hello Engineer,

thank you for reaching our forum with this.

I have discussed this problems internally, and according to our art department, there is indeed space for improvements.

Since that, it has been reported into our internal system.

Kind Regards
