Dedicated server crashes

Need More Information

Hello,

I'm trying to run a dedicated server. Some relevant details:

- Windows 11 24h2 virtual machine

- 4 vCPU assigned

- 16 GB RAM

- 200GB HD space

So what happens, is that when I try to configure the settings before even launching the server, the dedicated server configurator will crash, just says "not responsive" in the title bar.

I'm trying to login to steam to use steam networking as well, so my friends can find the game as well, that way. Was hoping to not port forward.

I'm not sure where to look for logs or anything, but please let me know where I can get those for you. Please let me know what additional information I can provide :)

Thank you for making an awesome game!

Hello Engineer,

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.

Can you please share more information with me?

First of all, please let me know where exactly are you starting the DS manager? It is through the Steam app? Or any other means?

If the Steam Space Engineers DS app is crashing for you, can you please share me the log files?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated.

There, you can find the server logs as well the app itself logs. It should be called "SpaceEngineersDSGUI...". Can you please take a look and eventually share this file with me?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

I've tried launching the DS manager from the Steam client, as well as installing it from SteamCMD and launching it.

Sure, I've attached the logs. interestingly, these don't show a crash, at least to me.
