Hello,

I cannot create a new star system or pretty much any other new save . Some old save games also do not start.

Log is attached.

I already tried:

- disabling all encounters random signals and economy

- normal mode (not experimental - in game settings)

- deleting SpaceEngineers.cfg

- deleting the contents of the ShaderCache2 folder

- reinstalling the game

- verifying the game files

Another error message was, that the save game was created in experimental mode and therefor cannot be loaded without it, when creating a new star system.

I hope you can help me.

Hi,

quick update:

I tried a few other things:

- reinstalling Microsoft VC_redist 2017 did not help

- reinstalling the graphics drivers did not help

- deleting the SpaceEngineers folder in AppData also results in no change

Clicking the "quick start" option is working for me. It is loading the game and the first few seconds work normally.

Hi,

Further to my previous report, I'm providing an update on the problems encountered when creating new star systems and loading specific save games in Space Engineers.

Despite numerous troubleshooting attempts, including:

  • Deleting configuration files
  • Reinstalling the game
  • Verifying game files
  • Deactivating DLCs

...the issue persisted. The problem consistently appeared on both my main PC and a separate laptop. Interestingly, a virtual machine (hosted on my main PC) showed some potential for improvement, progressing past the previous ~90% loading point, though it ultimately encountered a graphics driver crash.

A partial resolution was achieved by rolling back to version 204 (Signal Update) and subsequently updating to the current version. However, it's worth noting that this process had to be repeated, as the option to generate a star system was entirely absent after the initial rollback and update cycle (the option to generate an "empty world" and all others were present and working both times).

While I can now generate new star systems, one thing is still unclear:

Factorum Functionality: I have not encountered any of the new signals in gameplay, as I did not play much yet. Is there a method to debug or force-spawn these encounters for testing?

Further investigation and guidance is needed to fully resolve this remaining concern.
