if I try to change the sound and accept everything returns to 0
I updated the drivers
double checked the game files
restarted the PC
changed the Hertz dial in the sound settings
did not help

Could you check if the sound is not turned off via the volume mixer and if the Output device is correctly set up for Space Engineers in Windows sound settings?
There are also some things you can try to repair the issue. Can you please try our general workarounds if any of that might help? With this info, we can also investigate the issue further.
