Won't Fix

As by the title, I opened a locally hosten multiplayer game and my friend (who joined my faction) couldn't access the blocks of my shared respawn ship nor other blocks built by me.

Hello engineer,

Thank you for writing to us.

We have attempted to reproduce the issue on both newly built and existing grids, as well as on respawn pods, and faction sharing appears to be functioning as expected on our end.

Could you provide more information about this issue? Specifically, does your multiplayer world/server have any active MODs? If so, they might be causing issue with faction sharing. To check this, could you try starting a new, unmodded server and see if the issue persists?

If the issue doesn’t occur on the unmodded server, it's likely that MODs are the cause. We recommend reviewing your MODs and removing any that are obsolete or incompatible with the game's latest version. Please note that we cannot and don't provide support for MODs, as there are thousands of them out there, and it is the responsibility of the MOD creators to ensure compatibility with the latest game version.

However, if the issue persists on an unmodded server or if your server was already unmodded, please send us the save file of the world/server where you encountered this issue.

  • In case your multiplayer game is Lobby, you can access your Lobby save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves. If your multiplayer game is a Dedicated Server (DS), you can find your DS save files in the \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves folder.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind regards,
