SE. The game does not start

GrimGrimuar shared this bug 2 months ago
Solved

The game has stopped running, there are no errors or notifications about the problem either.

The game is a running process with zero resource consumption.

All drivers and necessary programs are installed, as well as updated to the latest versions.

I read the FAQ on the topic "does not start", did all the described actions, it did not help.

Below I attach the video of the game launch and the log.

System: Win 11 (last update); i7 8700k; 32GB OF RAM; SSD; nvidia 3070.

Added another log file with the deleted cfg file. (20241016_033015109)

Sorry for the duplicate message =(

I identified the problem on my own

In Windows 11, the game had a low priority or received a power-saving mode.

Through the task manager, clicking on the game process, I went to the detailed section. Next, I set the game a high priority, after which the game was launched within 5 minutes.

I found that in the startup chain, the game stumbled over the Svchost process.

!!!!!!

I also want to add that after the October 17 hot fix (I don't remember the exact date), the problem was solved and the game began to run normally, without using a tambourine

Hello engineer,

We're glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue on your own, and we appreciate you sharing the steps you took. This will certainly help other players who may encounter a similar issue.

Additionally, some players have found that ending the Space Engineers process via the Task Manager and then relaunching the game through Steam can also resolve this kind of issue.

Since no further assistance is required, we'll be closing this thread for now. Should you experience this or any other issues in the future, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.

Happy Engineering!

Kind Regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department
