INDOOR TOWER

Rodrigo Rocha shared this bug 29 days ago
Won't Fix

Recently building a Base on a frozen lake and inside the base, I placed some interior towers; that's when I realized that they were making holes in the walls to be able to hit the wolves that passed by or stand next to the Base!

I've already limited the distances from the inner towers but they still continue to destroy my own base...

I limited it to 10 meters, just for the size of the room, but it only takes a wolf to pass behind that wall and the tower will destroy everything in front of it!

Is this a bug?

Hello Rodrigo,

Thank you for writing to us.

It seems that there are active MODs in the world/server where you encountered this issue. It is quite possible that due to MODs or Scripts, the interior turret is attempting to fire at NPCs (wolves/spiders) within its range, even if this results in damage to its own grid.

To check this, could you please try removing all the MODs from your current world/server or start a new vanilla world/server and paste the blueprint of your grid there? If the issue persists in the vanilla world/server, kindly provide us with a screen recording/video showing the issue, along with the save file of the vanilla world/server.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves. The Dedicated Server save file can be found in the \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves folder.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards,
