[204.018 b2 default] CTD from moving distance to locked target slider in EC UI manually

Engi shared this bug 3 months ago
Won't Fix

SP Creative and DS.

SP Creative results in CTD. On a DS, the client is disconnected from the server.

STR:

1. Enable AI for offensive block set to target a test grid in 2.5km range

2. EC with Distance to Locked target event using offensive block as it's reference for a locked target distance and Equal to or less than option.

3. Action 1 EC Decrease Distance to Locked Target

4. Action 2 EC Increase Distance to Locked Target

5. With the offensive block locked to target in 2.5km range and the EC showing distance to the locked target, manually move the EC range slider and when it crosses the distance the target is at you will get a CTD.

Hello Engi,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum. We sincerely apologize for the delayed response to your thread.

Unfortunately, we were unable to reproduce the issue on our end. Could you please check if the issue persists in the latest version of the game? If it does, please share with us a screen recording/video showing the issue in a single-player (SP) unmodded (vanilla) world. Additionally, kindly also share this SP world's save file and the crash log file from the time this issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,
