Mining ships keep crashing after docking to releasing to connector.

Need More Information

After building a ship and connecting it to a docking connector to charge the batteries of fill with hydrogen i've saved the game and exited. Coming back to the game i get into the cockpit and as soon as i disengage the connector the ship just falls to the ground.

The engines are all powered and working and everything is as i left it when i saved it.

Anyone else having this issue and/or am i doing something wrong.

Thanks.

Hello Engineer,

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem that you are experiencing.

I have not experienced the same problem, when I tried on my side with multiple ships. All was working fine.

Can you please provide me more information on the subject?

Is this the only world that you are experiencing it? Or you are seeing this in various saves/world that you play on?

Does this problem happens only with one ship of yours on this base, or with multiple on the base grid, or even multiple combinations of ships and bases?

Is the world set to single player world, or any kind of online multiplayer?

Are there any mods active on the world? If yes, can you reproduce the same on brand new world without any mods there?

Please share me a video recording of the problem how you experience it on your side, so I can follow your steps as close as possible. Also please share me the world, where these affected grids can be found, so I can investigate in your exact environment.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

I think i've found the issue. After placing batteries on a ship and parking it on a docking port/collar/collector port, if you then change the charging option from auto to recharge and then un-park the ship will just fall off the docking method with no ability to control the thrusters.

Regards.

Hello Engineer,

thank you for your reply.

Since you are now fully able to reproduce the problem, can you please share me the affected save file/blueprints, as also asked above?

We will then be able to try your steps to reproduce on the exact environment on our end as well.

Thank you.

Kind Regards
