Permanat crash of the game, just happened, no additional mod added to the savegame.

Won't Fix

Unfortunately, the game crashes a few seconds after the loading process has been completed. After loading the game several times in a row, it still worked until today to enter the world and play. But since today this is no longer possible, no matter how often I try, the game always crashes a few seconds after the loading process has finished. I have already tried to remove recently added mods, but that didn't work either. I also have the same problem with other savegames. My graphics driver is up to date.

Unfortunately, I forgot that I always played the world with plugins. After I remembered that, I got the world running again, but only once. Now it keeps crashing again. I have reattached the latest logs.

Hello, rakso 25,

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.

However, as the attached logs are containing mods and plugins heavily, I fear that there is nothing much we can do for you here on this particular save/problem.

Please be aware that it is the mod (or any 3rd party piece of SW) creator responsibility to make sure their mods (or other SW altering the main vanilla game) is working fine with the current game. We can not and do not provide support for those.

May I ask you, if you are experiencing the same problem on vanilla (no mods, or any other 3rd party add-on) worlds as well? Can you please try and let me know?

If you would be experiencing the same problem there, we can go further from that point. If not, it is quite possible that some mod was e.g. updated and no longer works in connection with other mods etc. that would possibly bring this error up for you.

However, you can try our general workarounds anyway to see if these would help you also in your case.

These are:

  • Verify your game files in Steam - right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) - you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Delete ShaderCache folder - same access as above
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Please let me know if anything from this list helped you.

Also let me know, if you are experiencing the same problem on worlds with no mods etc. If yes, please provide me log from that game session.
