Game freezing then crashing welding solar panel
Need More Information
My PC-based game is freezing, then dropping to desktop with no crash log when I attempt to weld a solar panel, both standard and colorable versions.
I have duplicated this several times.
Occurs at around 85% of weld completion
Please advise which gamefile I should attach as I cannot seem to attach a folder with them all in it
I have started a new game with this scenario and welding a solar panel works OK. Other games/scenarios seem to be OK as well
Only mods were Midspace's large and small ship speed 250. Game still crashes when these are removed
The scenario is The Nebula Exile

Hello Mobisam,
thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.
I have tried the same on my side, and there was no problem that I can observe with these blocks; I have tried placing them down, deleting them, welding, grinding... but the game was stable and I was able to build/weld all solar panels just fine.
You are mentioning mods and some scenario. The scenario is not part of the general game, thus must be some made by community, right?
Please rest aware that we do not provide support for mods, or community staff in general (community made scenarios, scripts etc.). It is always the owner/creator responsibility to make sure their add-on is working as expected with the current game version.
Do I understand it correctly, that when you are running the game in vanilla (no mods), and using the default scenarios/worlds, you are not observing this problem/able to reproduce it?
Please first try to reproduce the same in completely new vanilla (no mods) world. If the game would still crash for you even there, please share me your log from the crashed session.
You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
Also please provide me steps to reproduce, as I was not able to reproduce this problem on my end.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

Support,
As I explained in my original report, this is a scenrio (The Nebula Exile) with no mods and there are no crash logs nor any indication that SE failed due to an observed crash.
The program simply freezes for a few seconds than drops to desktop.
A new instance of the game does not exhibit the same error when welding solar panels so it may be an error developing after several hopurs of use.
As this is a scenario and you have more important projects (and bugs) to concentrate on, I am comfortable with you closing this issue. There are many other scenarios I can enjoy from your great game.
Thanks for the assist
