Broken Program block

Solved

I've ran into a bit of an odd issue where I have a program block on a small grid connected to a large grid via a rotor. Every was working fine till very recent. I've added 9 event controllers, one small grid turret controller, two buttons, one transparent lcd, and I have a second program block next to the first. first picture shows the set up and the second picture shows that its working by putting text up on the monitor in the top left. If I add an armor block to the right of the program block nothing happens, but if i try adding any form of electronic, button, event controller, program block (what i've tried) it breaks the program block and it can no longer find the script. I've tried deleting and replacing the program block, recompiling it, changing the script, restarting the game, verifying files, removing mods. however nothing has fixed it. except by not adding any of the items mentioned above to that grid.

Hello, James!

Thank you for writing to us.

Since you mentioned having MODs in the world where you experienced this issue, it's possible that the MODs initially caused the issue. And even after removing the MODs, there could still be dependencies within the world that are causing the issue.

To confirm this, could you kindly make a blueprint of the affected grid, then create a new vanilla world (without any MODs), paste the affected grid blueprint there, and check if the issue persists? If it does, please share with us a screen recording/video showing when the program block worked and then when it stops working upon placing other blocks. Additionally, please provide the vanilla world save file or the blueprint of the affected grid.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Its working now, but I'm not sure if it was a mod issue or not. I had to do a complete reinstall for a different reason.

Hello, James!

Thank you for writing back to us.

It's quite possible that the issue previously occurred due to MODs. Since the issue is not occurring for you anymore, we will be closing this ticket for now. However, if you happen to experience this issue again (in a vanilla world) or any other issues, please feel free to create a new thread and provide all the information related to the issue there.

Kind Regards,
