Sorry to do this but I hope you can read the steam discussion about the above issue:

I'm only able to report this with a phone so not easy to copy paste all that's been discussed, Dan has identified the same issue I've experienced.

Would be nice to either have a switch to enable welding blocks as realistic or creative mode, otherwise a fix to be realistic only in survival and creative welding in creative games.
