I would to ask for a few specific events be added to the event controller

  • Sensor based events (in the case you do NOT add multi-pages to sensors)
  • Events for action relay (detection events for other players signals)
  • Events for programmable bloock (Script errors trigger event, is script running event, has script stopped event.
  • Events for Custom Turret Controller (is tracking target yes/no)
  • Events for Searchlights (is tracking target yes/no)
  • Reclassify "Cockpit occupied" event to "block occupied" event and add support for the Ladder blocks.
  • Events for Ore Detector (is X ore being detected?)
  • Events for wheels and suspension (steering angle detection, in contact with floor yes/no?, suspension height changes)
  • Events for jump drive block (is it being primed (used), are target coords within jump range)
  • Events for refinery, assembler and o2/h2 generators (are they doing work, yes or no?)
  • Events for air vents (room pressure is greater or less than X, is Depressurize on or off?)
  • Expanded Events for door blocks (is opening, is closing)
  • Expanded events for rotors and hinges (has target (specific) angle been reached?)
  • Events for weapon blocks (is firing? is reloading? ammo available greater or less than X)
  • Events for store block, ATM, dispensor and vending machines (is being interacted with? has a sale been made? money made greater or less than X)
  • Events for parachute blocks (is open? is closed?)
  • Events for sound blocks (is sound playing?)
  • Events for Jukebox (is music playing?, time spent playing, time since last thing played.)
  • Events for Target Dummy blocks (damage taken, current health, player accuracy)

Nice!

I wonder if it makes sense to track 'quests' using event controller. Like: a grid has an attached quest, quest cargo (or a player with a quest is seated?) and controller can check some parameters of that 'economy quest' to make quests a bit easier to mod (to make quest grids do some actions) and for some ambiance (like switching lights to yellow when there is a combat quest) or inform about there being a quest countdown.
