Offensive AI block not remembering guns on subgrids when pasted from copy or blueprints (video)

Title says it all. I've attached a video demonstrating the forgetfulness of copies and blueprints.

The top two guns are on the main grid, which is why they were remembered by the offensive AI block. The 4 other guns are on double subgrids (the wings, and within the wings the guns are on a hinge to allow for gun convergeance at 300meters)

4 months in and this issue has yet to be fixed, any idea what could be making it such a pain to fix the combat AI's ability to remember weapons on subgrids?
