Space engineers Dedicated server host is farther ahead
Won't Fix
For some strange reason the Dedicated server host on steam is on version 1.204.017 where as space engineers on console and steam are both on version 1.204.015. So not really sure what's going on but it's made my server unusable
Hello, ethan,
thank you for reaching our forum with this problem that you are experiencing. We are sorry that this is happening to you.
However, I can not reproduce this problem, as my (Steam) game is properly updated to current version 204.017.
Are you sure that you have the game from Steam, please?
There is a known problem with the older version still present on Xbox and game from Windows Store. We are working hard with Microsoft to release the correct version on all platforms as soon as possible.
You can see one of the threads from the actual Xbox/Windows Store version:
https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/xbox/topic/43156
Please follow that thread if this is the same problem for you.
If not, and you really did bought the game and are starting it/using it through Steam, can you please provide me more information?
Are you using any launch option?
In your Steam Library, right click on the SE game –> Properties –> General –> Launch options. If yes, please delete everything that you have written there and try to load the game again.
Also please be sure that you are not using any Betas (same menu as above). There should be always "None" option selected when you want to play the most current version of the game. Please see my image.
You should also try verify your game files in Steam: right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files.
If you still would be experiencing this problem really with the game from Steam, please send me a game log file.
You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

Hello, ethan,
the problem that you were experiencing was still originating from the issue shared above.
If the server host was on Steam, but you were/are using that server, that means that it is not using the Steam networking, but EOS one that is allowing to play console players and PC players together.
This was also affected by the problem mentioned above.
Can you please confirm that you are no longer experiencing this problem when the updated was finally released on all platforms?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
