Won't Fix

As in the attached file, the 'no' button doesn't appear to click until tabbing out and tabbing back in.

Hello, Petrichor,

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.

Can you please provide me more information?

On the video, there is visible, that you have the Windows default mouse icon; it that only because you were using some screen capture software above the actual game, or does that happen to you regularly? When you start the game, you have the game mouse icon all the time, when in the game?

Please make sure that, when testing this, you will refrain from Alt-tabbing from the game, when loading.

Also please disable Steam overlay, nVidia/AMD overlay (if applicable), or any other 3rd party SW that possible could interfere with this.

If you are using two-monitor setting of your PC, can you please try to launch the game while using only one monitor (do not have it just turned off, but also try to disconnect it completely from your PC),

I have not experience same problem on my side, when tried multiple times.

You can also try our general workarounds, that help to solve most of the issues for most of the players. These are:

  • Verify your game files in Steam – right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Please reply to this thread once you try all of these and let me know if that helped you in any way on your side. If not, can you please share me a log file from your game, when this issue happens on your side again?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards
