[1.204.015 b0 default] Stacked bottles count as one in UI

Stephen Conklin shared this bug 7 months ago
Solved

As the title suggests, stacked hydrogen bottles and oxygen bottles are only seen as 1 bottle in the user interface.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have two oxygen bottles or hydrogen bottles in your inventory, with matching volumes of gas, in two separate inventory slots; the game reads it as two separate bottles, and reflects that in the ui

2. Move one bottle to stack with the other. When you close the inventory, the second bottle icon will disappear from the UI, as the game is still registering one bottle as one inventory slot.

3. Unstack the bottles, and the proper number of bottles will be displayed on the UI again.

Hello, Stephen!

Thank you for writing to us.

In the shared images it seems that you have MODs active in the world/server where you have experienced this issue, could you kindly create a new vanilla world (without any active MODs/Scripts) and check if the issue persists over there as well? If so, kindly send us a screen recording/video showing the issue, along with a log file from the time this issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,

Alright, it WAS a mod, specifically Build Info, and I'll be getting ahold of the mod author to update the UI portion, 'cause they're apparently using the old version of whatever ui file their mod is affecting. I tried it on a new world and an existing world with no mods (because I know sometimes, like with whatever jank the pistons are are going though, sometimes, it has to to with something at time of creation, but it worked fin in both.

Hello, Stephen,

thank you for you reply.

Happy to hear that you are no longer experiencing the problem.

Since there is nothing more we can help you with, I will close this thread now.

Please do not hesitate to contact us again, should you observe/experience any other issue with the game.

Happy Engineering!

Kind Regards
