Spectator teleport still teleports base

Jagodragon shared this bug 5 months ago
Need More Information

You can still warp your base if you teleport while in spectator.

If you are in a dynamic grid that as docked to your base using a connector, it will still teleport the entire connected base and all grids attached to it.

Hello, Jagodragon!

Thank you for writing to us.

We tried to replicate this issue at our end but we couldn't reproduce it. Could you kindly share more information concerning this issue?

Did you experience this issue in Single Player/Lobby or Dedicated Server (DS)? Was the world/server modded (has active MODs/Scripts)? If so, could you kindly try if the issue persists in a vanilla world/server (without active MODs/Scripts) as well?

If it does, please share with us a screen recording/video showing the issue, the vanilla world/server save file, and the log file from the time this issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves. The DS save files can be found in the \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves folder.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a Google Drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,

It was an un modded red ship start.

I docked the red ship to the asteroid station using a connector. I sat in the pilot seat and went in to spectator mode and teleported my self.

The red ship and the base it was attached to teleported.

Hello, Jagodragon!

Thank you for sharing additional information.

We tried to replicate this issue at our end and didn't experience this issue since the jump got aborted because the grid/station was static. So as requested in our previous response, could you kindly send us a screen recording/video showing the issue, the world save, and the log file, so that we can further look into this issue?

Kind Regards,

I hope this helps :)

It really is a minor thing. But given the note in the fixes of this release, i thought you would want to know.
