The game wont open
Need More Information
Hello, I have been trying to launch the game from steam but it wont launch and in steam it says that it's running.
I have tried reinstaling the game, cleaning the .cfg file, after which it hasn't been created again, reinstaling direct x, .net framework, visual c++.
I have even reinstaled Steam, also I have followed all the troubleshoting of the game not starting of this page and the ones in the pinned thread of steam.
Spec wise this game should run, I have even played it before some months ago, so I tried using an erlier version of the game, but it didn't work either.
I have attached the log file.
Files:
SpaceEngineers_...
I was able to contact a friend that owns the game to see if they are also having problems playing the game, but they where able to run it smoothly, so I asked for the .cfg that appeared to be the problem, but running SE with the .cfg in still wont let me play the game, but it generates a new log entry which I'm attaching to this comment.
I truly dont understand what I need to do to play, please help.

Hello, Eitan!
Thank you for writing to us, and we sincerely apologize for the issue you have been experiencing.
It is quite possible there might be some installed game files that have been corrupted and causing issues even when you have a .cfg file. To resolve this, we recommend performing a clean installation of Space Engineers. Before you proceed with the clean installation, please make sure to back up your Save and Blueprint folders from the following directories:
Move or copy these folders to a different folder or drive to prevent any loss of your game progress and blueprints after the reinstallation.
Please follow these steps to perform a clean installation:
Uninstall Space Engineers through Steam.
Delete any remaining files from the following directories:
\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers
Before reinstalling the game, please also make sure that your OS is up to date and without any faulty updates. Once your OS is updated and stable, reinstall Space Engineers through Steam. Try launching the game through Steam.
If the game launches without any issues, you can then move your previously backed-up Saves and Blueprint folders back to the \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers directory.
If the issue still occurs, kindly send us the latest log file when this issue happens.

I have tried re-installing the game after clearing everything related to it on my computer but as I try to play it the same log message appears again and again, is there something I can try to play it?

Hello, Eitan!
Thank you for sharing an update with us. We are sorry to hear that the issue you reported is still not resolved.
Upon reviewing the log text, it appears the game is still unable to locate the .cfg file. Could you please try pasting the SpaceEngineers.cfg file you previously got from your friend into the "C:\Users\Eitan\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers" folder? Before doing so, please temporarily disable your antivirus software to prevent potential interference with the game.
After pasting the file, launch the game and check if it loads properly, or still crashes. Alternatively, you could obtain a new SpaceEngineers.cfg file from another friend and try using it instead.
Please let us know if either of these solutions works for you.
Kind Regards,
Keen Software House: QA Department
