Game Bug - Cannot Upload Blueprint

Julian Trepanier shared this bug 12 days ago
Solved

Hello KSH Team,

There has been an ongoing issue with the games lastest update. It seems that any creation made when attempting to upload as a rovers to steam fails due to unknown cause.

Only message I get is failed to upload to steam servers. It would be definitely worth taking a look into.

Please let me know if you require any more information to privide better insights.

Thankyou

Hello, Julian!

Thank you for writing to us.

We tried to publish a blueprint on Steam as a rover, and we were able to do so without any issues. It is possible that you experienced this issue due to temporary issues on Steam's servers. Could you please recheck if the issue persists, and confirm that your Steam is on Online mode?

If you are still experiencing the issue while Steam is in Online mode, could you let us know if it occurs with all blueprints or just a specific one? Also, please ensure your blueprint's screenshot size is below 1MB, as exceeding that limit could cause issues when publishing on Steam.

If the issue affects all blueprints, please try the following workarounds:

Verify your game files on Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

After completing the above steps, ensure your internet connection is stable and there is no VPN active on your end. Then, attempt to publish the blueprint again and see if the issue persists.

If it does, please send us a screen recording /video showing the issue, the log file from the time this issue occurred, and the blueprint that you're trying to publish.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Kind Regard,

Not a problem I will update once I get off work and see if the solution you provided works.

I've already validated and issue didn't fix itself so I'll try the others suggested.

Stay tuned
