Is the controller connected properly to the PC?
You can check e.g. if follow these steps:
1) On your PC, open Control panel, switch to Large Icons
2) Go to Devices and Printers
3) Right click on the gamepad and open 'Game Controller settings'
4) Check that the correct controller is displayed and connected properly
Do you know if the same controller works in other games? Have you checked? If not, can you, please?
You should also make sure that the controller is properly selected in the game's settings. To do so, in the game go to Options – Controls – Controller selection. You controller should be selected there. If not, try to enable it from the drop-down menu.
