IGC has become slow

A year ago I wrote a script that sends messages via IGC in stealth mode. The idea is that the script turns on the antenna and in the next tick it immediately sends a message and then turns off the antenna.

And it worked perfectly. The player didn't have time to see the antenna signal, and the messages were always sent without interruption and without any problems, without a single loss.


Now I'm writing an improved version of the communication system where I use the same approach, but IGC appears to be completely broken. The engine used to be able to handle turning on the antenna and sending a message in just 2 ticks, but now it lacks even 10 ticks of latency to send consistently.

What do I mean? The antenna is turned on, even the player can see it flickering, but still no messages are sent. Through unicast the recipient is unreachable, and through broadcast the messages don't reach him.


But that's not all. This bug is quite dynamic. Once in 10 attempts a message can be sent even via unicast (for example, sending it within 2-3 ticks of delay), but other times the problem described above happens. IGC just started working slowly and with bugs. Stable sending starts with about 0.7 seconds delay after activation (40-50 ticks), but this is not good, because the very concept of stealth sending is not fulfilled.

I've been trying to solve this problem with different code logic and different delays (which is how I found the problem) for three weeks now. But without interfering with the operation of the game it is impossible. Please run tests, find the point where IGC stopped working as before, thanks.

Please note that we do not provide a support for mods/modding, only to vanilla base game.

The case that you are talking about is most likely no more possible due to prevent of malicious stuff and spam optimization.
