Ladder blocks dont block you from climbing through solid parts of it from a different ladder
As you can see, you shouldnt rightfully be able to climb up from the bottom ladder, but you can, you climb right through the solid wall of the ladder on top. The only face on the ladder that does block you is the face the ladder in the shaft is attached to. The same is true for the scaffold ladder, you can climb through the grated floor part of it, even when the ladders arent aligned. Only works if you climb up ladders, you cant climb down them through the walls.
